When I first started House Plant Clubbin' I knew I wanted to make things that felt meaningful. Not just cute accessories but pieces that stopped people in their tracks and made them ask questions. The Real Bloom collection is exactly that. And this past weekend when my pieces were featured in the Flores y Tierra art exhibit at the Art Center of Corpus Christi, I got to watch strangers walk up, lean in close and say "wait, is that a real flower?" over and over again.
Yes. It is. And that never gets old.

What Is Real Bloom Jewelry?
Real Bloom is my most personal collection. Every single piece contains a real preserved flower sealed inside hand poured resin. The flower is real. The moment it was picked is real. And once it is sealed inside the resin it is preserved there forever, which means you are literally wearing a piece of nature that will never fade, never wilt and never lose its shape.
Each piece is completely one of a kind. I never recreate the same piece twice because no two flowers are ever exactly the same. The way the petals sit, the color variations, the way the light hits the resin - every single necklace is its own little world and once it is gone it is gone forever.

How I Make Them
The process is slow and intentional and honestly that is part of what makes them special to me. I start with real flowers and preserve them so they hold their shape and color. Then I carefully pour the resin in layers, setting the flower inside so it sits exactly right. Each layer has to cure fully before the next one goes on. There is no rushing it.

Once the resin is fully cured and polished I set the piece into the jewelry finding by hand. The whole process takes days from start to finish, not hours. When you hold a Real Bloom piece you can feel that it was made slowly and carefully because it was.

The Flores y Tierra Exhibit
Having my Real Bloom jewelry selected to be part of the Flores y Tierra art exhibit at the Art Center of Corpus Christi was one of the most surreal moments I have had with this brand so far. Walking in on opening night and seeing my pieces displayed in a proper exhibit space, under gallery lighting, in a case alongside other incredible works of art - I genuinely had to take a breath.

People were stopping at my pieces before I even had a chance to introduce myself. They were leaning in, reading the description, asking questions. One of the staff members who took in my work that day asked me to apply for the members only shelves at the Art Center because she loved the pieces so much. That kind of validation from the art community means everything to me.

The pieces are still on display and available for purchase at the Art Center of Corpus Christi. If you are local please go see them in person because photos honestly do not do them justice. There is something about seeing a real flower suspended inside resin under gallery lighting that you just have to experience yourself. They will be there until April 22nd!
How to Care for Your Real Bloom Piece
Because Real Bloom jewelry contains a real preserved flower and hand poured resin, there are a few things to keep in mind to make sure your piece stays beautiful for years to come.

Shop the Real Bloom Collection
If you have been curious about the Real Bloom collection this is your sign. Each piece is one of a kind and once it sells it will not be restocked with the same design. I am constantly working on new pieces and adding them to the shop so checking back regularly is always worth it.
You can also find my work in person at the Art Center of Corpus Christi through the Flores y Tierra exhibit, and I will be bringing Real Bloom pieces to Plant Con Houston at the end of April at Booth L3!
